Early morning transfer to the Ezeiza airport for your flight to Trelew and private transfer to the hotel.
Later that morning you will continue to Punta Tombo, the most important breeding colony of Magellanic penguins in the world. You will walk through a trail that cuts deep into the colony to observe closely these fascinating birds. Other species may be seen here. On the way back to Trelew you will visit Gaiman, a typical Welsh settlement, where you can enjoy a cup of tea. The main attraction are the Welsh Tea Houses, where the descendants of the settlers prepare and serve the greatest classic Welsh tea, not to mention the pastry.

You will depart to Península de Valdez for your Whale Watching and sightseeing tour.
Beginning with a drive along National Route N° 3 to reach the entrance to Valdes Peninsula. After crossing the Ameghino Isthmus, from where you can watch Golfo San José and Golfo Nuevo, you get into the Peninsula. The road will lead you to Puerto Piramides.
On the way you will see the wildlife of the area: Guanacos, Lesser Rheas, Patagonian Foxes, Hairy Armadillos, South American Sea Lions, Dolphin Gulls, Kelp Gulls, amongst others.
In Puerto Piramides you will embark a boat to navigate the Atlantic Ocean and appreciate the shore & wildlife of the area. From June to December you can enjoy a whale-watching navigation that will allow you to observe the Southern Right Whales.

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Ushuaia (the End of the World). Upon arrival, you will have a private transfer to your hotel.

Ninety kilometers east of Ushuaia, on National Route Nº3, Tierra del Fuego’s oldest ranch, Estancia Harberton, is located.
From the estancia you will board a small boat to visit the penguin rookery at Martillo Island. The unique location of this island (close to the point where the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean waters merge) allows for an incredible variety of rich subaquatic life, making it an amazing spot for birdwatching.
From there you will head to Gable Island, the largest in the Beagle Channel, for late lunch. In the afternoon you will have a 2/3-hour hike then return to the refuge and enjoy hot drinks. You will return to Ushuaia late in the afternoon.

Today you will find yourself at the “end of the world”, and the best way to understand this is visiting the Tierra del Fuego National Park.
Upon arrival in the park you will start a 7 km trek (3.5 hours) to a wonderful scenic point overlooking Lake Roca, Laguna Verde and Negra, Rivers Ovando and Lapataia and Bahía Lapataia. Hiking through this beech forest you will be able to look for the Magellanic Woodpecker, Austral Parakeets, Black-Chested Buzzard Eagles, and Andean Condors. Lunch in the camping area of Lake Roca.The excursion around the park also includes a canoeing expedition.
Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

In the afternoon you will have a transfer to the local airport to board for your flight to El Calafate. Upon arrival you will have a transfer to the hotel.
In El Calafate you will find yourself at the gateway to the majestic world of glaciers. This town is located at the edge of Lake Argentino, a green water surface covering 1,600 km2, with a length of 60 km and a width between 12 and 14 km. The calafate fruit is a delicious berry, good for the elaboration of jam. According to tradition, whoever eats calafate will return for many more, but reality indicates that whoever visits Calafate wants to stay there forever.

Transfer from the hotel to Los Glaciares National Park.
The excursion begins in the pier located at “Bajo de las Sombras” bay, where you will embark to cross the Brazo Rico, reaching the southwest shore in which you can appreciate the southern wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier.
After disembarking, you will walk by the lake shore to reach the glacier. Once you are in front of it, the guides will give you crampons and the instructions for a 2-hours hike over the ice. In this mini-trekking over the glacier, you will appreciate lots of ice formations such as: cracks, drains, tunnels and little lagoons.
At the end of the hike, you will go back to the shelter walking through the exuberant magellanic forest. The you will cross the lake and once you arrive at the pier, you will head to the catwalks, in front of the Perito Moreno glacier, from where you will have different and amazing views of it.
Return to the hotel.

Flight to Aeroparque in Buenos Aires and connection to you flight back home
Upon your arrival to the airport your guide will assist the transfer to Casa Gangotena in Colonial Quito. The hotel is a colonial house that has been restored and remodeled to offer comfort and elegance. The area of the city in which it is located is known as a World Cultural Heritage by the UNESCO. The colonial churches and monasteries date back to 1535, when the Spaniards first landed in South America.

Due to the beauty and history of colonial Quito, the main emphasis is given to the old city. The tour includes the Independence Square from where it is possible to see and photograph the House of the President, the Cathedral and the City Hall.
At evening you will drive down to the inter-Andean valley and then across the Eastern Andes to the Thermal Spring of Papallacta. This beautiful place is located in a high Andean Valley gateway to the Ecuadorian Amazon rainforest. It specializes in spas, health, recreation, adventure and relaxation.

The Upper Rio Napo is also known locally as the Rio Jatunyacu, which means Big Water in Quichua. A great trip for both beginners and experts alike, it has the perfect combination of exciting rapids, calm pools, and fabulous jungle scenery that will delight you.

You will drive through a scenic road along the Amazon basin until you reach Baños. Once there, you will get prepared for your canyoning experience.

This day you can choose between jumping off the edge of a bridge over the Patate River or rush at full speed from multiple ravines. With both activities, puenting and zip lining, you will follow strict safety regulations in order to guarantee the highest operational standards.
After the activities you will drive towards Hacienda San Agustin de Callo, a historic hacienda that served as an Inca fortress, an Augustinian convent and a temporary home for the French Geodesic Mission.

You will drive across the Andes enjoying the majestic views of the Cotopaxi volcano until you reach the Quilotoa Lake, a huge collapsed crater. It is possible to walk down to the shore and practice some kayaking. The trail back to the top is a very steep climb, but it is possible to hire a mule as transportation. A very fun and authentic experience!
In the afternoon you will continue your road trip to arrive to Guayaquil. You will stay at the Wynham Hotel, located in Las Peñas neighborhood.

Early in the morning you will travel from Guayaquil port to the Pacific Coast, crossing the tropical dry forest, enjoying the views of the huge Ceiba trees.
You will arrive at Las Tanusas Retreat & SPA before noon. The hotel has one of the best gastronomic offers in the country and one of the few places that provides seclusion and comfort in perfect balance. The beach in which it is located is famous for its waves that can reach 3 m high, perfect for surfing.

Isla de la Plata is a small island off the coast of Manabi, inside the Machalilla National Park.
From June to September humpback whales arrive to Machalilla Park to reproduce. You will board a small boat to watch them breaching out of water. You will also practice snorkeling. Along the coast it is possible to observe sea lions and the waters that surround the island are known for the abundant manta rays, different species of sharks and tropical fish.

After breakfast you will have a transfer to the boat that will take you fishing in Puerto Cayo. At noon you will do two inmersions. The waters of Machalilla National Park are subtropical and therefore it is possible to observe corals, gorgonians, mantas and many colorful fish.
You will have the option to practice kayaking in the afternoon.

Santa Marianita beach is the most popular location for kitesurfing in Ecuador. The combination of a long beach with excellent waves and wind makes it ideal spot for rigging and launching a kite.
Since the beach is long and empty, there is plenty of space for all levels of surfers, from beginners to expert, without getting in the way of others. It is also a good place for a little beach break.

You will have a transfer to Manta’s airport (1 hour ride from the hotel) to take your flight back to Quito (40 min flight) and then your flight back home or to your next adventure.
