In the morning you will visit the Independence Square, from where it is possible to see and photograph the Presidential Palace, the Cathedral, the Archbishop’s Palace and the City Hall. In the afternoon you will go to the Cable Car to have a beautiful view from the top of Pichincha Volcano.

During these four days adventure you will be able to appreciate the richest nature reserve of Ecuador concerning wildlife and primary forest, the Cuyabeno Wildlife Reserve. It has an elaborate system of wild lagoons, rivers and flooded forest. You will participate in a variety of activities: bird watching, rainforest walks in search of wildlife (tracking of ocelots, capybaras, armadillos, anacondas, ant colonies, and more) and exotic plants, excursions to some smaller lakes for some piranha fishing, listening to the song of birds like the scarlet macaw and the cacique, and nocturnal excursions to spot the red gleaming eyes of the caimans and other night animals.

You will have a transfer to the Lago Agrio airport for your flight back to Quito. Upon arrival our guide will be waiting to take you to Otavalo, in the province of Imbabura.
Overnight: Hostería Las Palmeras
Your guide will be at disposition to take you around the back roads to visit Cuicocha Lake, a beautiful caldera and crater lake at the foot of the Cotacachi Volcano. You will do an easy hike to enjoy the spectacular view of the two islands in the middle of the crater. A picnic lunch is included. In the afternoon you will have time to visit Cotacachi village known for its excellent leather goods.

In Otavalo you will be able to visit the main square of the city where the local indigenous people are selling their handy crafts. It is a fantastic place for photography, shopping and culture interactions.

After breakfast you will return to Quito, following the back roads, visiting the villages of Iluman, famous for their hats made out of wool felt, Peguche, known for its weavers and its beautiful waterfall, and Agato, a great place for acquiring any fabric made with the backstrap weaving technique.

The best way to explore the Galapagos Islands is to sail around the archipelago on board a cruise. Each day you will visit two or three spots from different islands. You will visit them though land expeditions, snorkeling or diving, dingy rides, kayaking and many other activities, while surrounded by a unique flora and fauna. You will be accompanied by a naturalist guide throughout the cruise.
Overnight: M/V Beagle (Cruise)
This day you will take your flight back to Quito. Your flight to Lima will be in the night.

You will have a city tour of Cusco where you can appreciate the mixed Incan and Colonial, of Spanish Influence, architecture.
Then you will head to Coricancha, the main church of the city of Cusco. An imposing architectural edifice owned by the Dominican order, who built their monastery on and around the Incan temples of the moon and the sun.
Later that same day you will go to Sacsayhuaman, a huge ancient fortress, which dominates the city and may have been Cusco’s main fortification. It sits on a hill with an excellent overview of the city of Cusco.

In the morning you will depart towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The first stop will be in the small Inca City of Chincheros, a village that is still occupied by the native people of the area. They keep their traditions and way of living with pride.
Then you will continue to the Moray Archaeological Site for a short stop. This place offers a view of circular terraces arranged like an amphitheater, where the Incas had agricultural experiments. Each terrace has a different climate: you can observe the tropics on the lowest terrace and the tundra on the highest one.
Before lunch you will hike down the valley by foot visiting the Salt mines of Maras, salt mines where salt is collected in terraces, very much like the agricultural terraces of the Incas.
Overnight: Albergue Ollantaytambo Hotel
This day you will visit Pisac, known for its market and Inca terraces, you will explore trails of various levels of difficulty. This is great place for wandering and hiking.
Later you will visit the town of Ollantaytambo, known for its Inca Architecture and for being an incredible fort. The ruins on the hilltop are some of the finest Inca masonry.
Overnight: Hotel Albergue Ollantaytambo
Wander around in this ancient city. For some historians, Machu Picchu was a sacred place, isolated from most of the common people, where only the virgins of the sun could live. The Inca Emperor would go there occasionally for special celebrations or for a retreat. According to other historians and more recent theory, Machu Picchu was an Agricultural University for the Incas.
The first day you will explore the ruins accompanied by a guide. The second day you will hike up to Huayna Picchu. You will have enough time to explore the ruins on your own. At 15h00 you will return back to Cusco by train.

You will have a free morning in Cusco. At mid-day you will have a transfer to the airport for your flight to Lima and from there, your upcoming flight home or to your next destination.
